Employment Type: Full time, PAYE

Salary: £41,700 per annum

Working Hours: 37.5 to 40 hours per week

Reports To: Founder

You will work in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment, leading the planning and delivery of IT and digital initiatives from concept through to completion. Experience working in start-ups, coordinating external vendors, and managing fast-moving projects is highly valued, along with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take ownership of project outcomes.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized IT Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of IT and digital projects across the business. This role is focused on execution and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.

The IT Project Manager will work closely with internal teams and external technology partners to deliver software, systems, and digital solutions that support business operations and growth. This is a hands-on project delivery role and does not involve company directorship or responsibility for setting companywide technology strategy

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Delivery

• Plan, manage, and deliver IT and digital projects from initiation through to completion

• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules

• Track progress and manage dependencies to ensure successful delivery

Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate and manage external software development vendors and technology suppliers

• Act as the main point of contact between the business and third-party delivery partners

• Ensure vendor outputs meet agreed technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards

• Facilitate regular project meetings and status updates with stakeholders

Budget, Risk, and Quality Management

• Manage approved project budgets and monitor expenditure

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues

• Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality and acceptance criteria

• Support compliance with data protection, security, and relevant UK regulations

Reporting and Governance

• Prepare clear and structured progress reports for senior management

• Provide regular updates on timelines, costs, risks, and delivery outcomes

• Maintain accurate project documentation for audit and operational use

Operational IT Support and Handover

• Support the transition of completed projects into live operational environments

• Coordinate handover to internal teams or managed service providers

• Assist with post implementation reviews and continuous improvement activities

• Provide project related operational IT support as required

What We Are Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in IT or digital project management

• Strong understanding of software development and IT delivery environments

• Experience coordinating external vendors and cross functional teams

• Excellent organizational, communication, and reporting skills

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Professional project management certification

• Experience working with software development teams or SaaS platforms

• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and modern IT infrastructure

• Experience working in a growing or fast paced business environment

Role Boundaries

• This role does not involve company directorship or ownership

• The IT Project Manager does not set companywide technology or business strategy

• All strategic and executive decisions remain with senior management
